Pitt Stop in #Pittsburg. After a 12 hour day in the car we crashed out hard last night and woke up early for a nice short drive to #Cincinnati today.
Our visit in New Hampshire with the Vernon clan was so great, we caught up and got to meet the lovely miss Magnolia (she is 15 months old now) for the first time.
Today we drive to New Hampshire to see Jerry (also known as Jer-bear, Jayo, Jeremiah) and I am thrilled! After an AMAZING weekend in Boston/North Attleboro!! The show last night at the Bergeron homestead far exceeded any expectation we could have had. So many great people, so attentive and receptive :) There aren’t even words for the hospitality we experienced from strangers. Thank you all.
This tour continues, and everywhere we visit gets harder to leave. Onward good people! :)
So we, sadly, said goodbye to New York today and made the drive up to Boston for this weekend of shows. Tonight we play at McGanns and tomorrow we have a crazy awesome house show planned at the place we are lucky enough to be staying!
As for the adventure, well it continues. New York was a whirlwind of amazingness thanks to Jesse, and it was HIS birthday week. From surprise guests to finding new favorite cocktails and so much more in between all that NY has fast become our favorite stop so far…and thats saying a lot. This tour has been nothing but great things so for that statement to be made means a lot. Thanks New York. You will see us again.
So we hit the ground running here! We have been in NY for a couple days now and I am just now sitting down to write this! Thats a great thing. So far we have had 2 killer shows with a 3rd tonight, some surprise guests that flew out from San Diego to see us here, and a kick ass tour guide showing us any and everything our little hearts have desired. Thanks to Jesse, and lets keep it coming. On to Boston tomorrow for a couple shows this weekend, someone pinch me :) This is all happening!!
So far Virginia has been awesome, no surprise there! We are in Charlottesville today visiting Sweet Trav, there have been and will be a lot of Greens reunions happening on this tour! Tomorrow we head off to New York, wish us safe travels and NO TOLLS!!!
Hello and Goodbye to South Carolina, we left with a great taste in our mouths. The show at Smiley’s was great, we met a lot of cool people, and our couchsurfing hosts were just wonderful! One whirlwind of a day, less than 24hrs there, and we were on our way to Richmond, VA. We got here last night around 7 and were greeted by a friend I have not seen in years. Its so good to see Suni (and thats what i will call her forever…don’t tell ME what to do!) and today we will adventure around before our show tonight. Tomorrow we head over to Charlottesville to see Sweet Trav, it will be amazing!! I can’t wait to get a big T-rav hug. YAY VIRGINIA!!
Goodbye #Atlanta, goodbye Jaqai and Mandy (& Bella), and goodbye to a solid nights sleep :) We are officially halfway through this thing! Georgia is beautiful, we miss it already. But the nature of the beast that is this tour dictates that we must move on! ONWARD I SAY! To Greenville, South Carolina we go. We will be stopping in just for the night and playing at Smiley’s Acoustic Cafe before heading to Virginia tomorrow.
In other news we will be premiering our very first video as 22 Kings on Tuesday (4.8) Jaqai spearheaded this project and went full steam ahead, getting it done in an alarmingly short amount of time in between all his other work! He is a huge supporter and we can’t thank him enough for this fun week :) We can’t wait to show you guys! Stay tuned
Holy Crap we made it to Atlanta!!
Nashville was AMAZING! So many more stories for the books. In short we stayed with an amazing dude who did a photo shoot for us, we made friends with some great people, sang at 3 different venues in one night, and managed to choke down fireball…lots of it. Because it was all free (bought buy our lovely new friends!)
This week we are in Atlanta to hang with Jaqai and Mandy, play on Walking Dead sunday for a finale party, Walking Dead tour tomorrow, and silliness all around with family. Once we leave here we will be officially halfway done with the tour.
ATLANTA SHOW US A GOOD TIME
#Nashville its on! Birmingham welcomed us with open arms, we met some great people and made a few fans to boot! I mean…when the couchsurfer that is hosting us shows up at our gig with 22 crowns he “borrowed” from a Burger King and passes them out to everyone in the bar to wear during our set…and THEY DO…that is a win! :)
Next up is Nashville, we will be stopping there for 2 days to check out the music scene and drop in on a few open mics before heading down to Atlanta on Thursday.
ONWARD I SAY!! #MohawksAcrossAmerica continues as we leave New Orleans today and embark upon the next leg of the tour. We make a stop to play 2 shows at The Nick in Birmingham tonight and tomorrow, then continue to Nashville for 2 days with Atlanta being our next big stop on Thursday.
New Orleans has been a magical and wonderful place this last week and we are sad to leave the friends we have made here. The question people keep asking is “What is your favorite part of the tour so far” and that question is so hard to answer, we have made so many great friends and fans and truly experienced the cities we have stopped in. New Orleans has cast its spell on the both of us and can’t be matched (so far) with its history, culture, and sense of wonderment. Again, ever single stop we have made has impacted us both in ways we cannot express with words in a blog. By no means does this diminish the other points along this great adventure across the nation, New Orleans is magical though there is no denying that. From the traffic tranny, all the way to the 9th Ward which still has so much devastation and rebuilding to do. Goodbye to this chapter, on to the next.
